Driving from Property to Property cleaning hot tubs and some light property maintenance, the majority at vacation rentals. 

As a Grocery Clerk with the Tofino Co-op, you are responsible for delivering personalized service. At the Co-op, we strive to establish a relationship with our members and encourage them to continue their patronage.

Duties include:

Assist in cleaning carts/handles/counters
Assist in general stock duties, including filling shelves and facing
Perform receiving duties when required
Other duties as assigned

MacKenzie Beach Resort offers Cabins, Airstreams and camping with onsite café and restaurant. Other amenities include bike and surf rentals as well as an on-site sauna.

MacKenzie Beach Resort is seeking a hardworking, self-motivated and disciplined individual to join our front desk team. Must be willing to work a variety of hours, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime. This position is full time and permanent based out of our resort in Tofino, BC.

The position pays $17.50 per hour, based on a 35-40 hours per weeks plus 4% paid vacation. No benefits are included with the position.

Job Duties:

• Maintain an inventory of guest reservations, available vacancies and room assignments.
• Answer inquiries by phone and email, provide relevant information about the resort including available amenities and services.
• Provide general information about the local area.
• Investigate and resolve complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Register arriving guests and provide relevant information about accommodation as well as local area.
• Assist with housekeeping on busy days as needed
• Conduct proper check-outs for departing guests. Present statements of charges to departing guests and ensure correct payment is charged.
• Ensure that front desk and office area is kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times.
• Responsible for opening and/or closing office.

The School

Ucluelet Elementary School is a K-7 school situated in the beautiful town of Ucluelet. Ucluelet Elementary School enrolls approximately 223 students.

The School Principal

Preferred candidates will have successful formal school leadership experience in elementary or middle school settings, as well as strong, positive interpersonal skills and recognized involvement in building effective school and community relations. Candidates will show a commitment to improved achievement for all learners, including the ability to engage staff in the creation of a professional learning community that considers research, best practice, and student data to guide instruction and to develop school plans. The Principal is hired to the District and will be placed initially at Ucluelet Elementary School. Future placement may include a transfer to a different Westcoast school (Ucluelet or Tofino) or to a school in the Alberni Valley dependent on District need and administrator qualifications.

About the Role:

As a member of The Whale Centre team, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests. You’ll assist with bookings, answer questions about our tours, provide local knowledge, and ensure every guest has a welcoming and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting guests in-person, by phone, and online
• Booking whale watching, bear watching, hot springs, and sea otter tours
• Handling payments and maintaining accurate records
• Sharing knowledge about local wildlife and the Tofino area
