You can represent CCS positively as you interact with members of the public and are a guest in facilities like Hospitals, Cancer Centres and Lodges. You are ready to do your best to make a client’s ride to treatment one less thing they have to worry about, allowing them the space and focus to handle their journey in their own way. You are comfortable using online tools, like email and our scheduling software. You have a valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer demerit points and an acceptable driving record. You carry a minimum of $1M third party liability insurance on your 100% smoke-free vehicle and are willing to have a criminal records check, and regular driver abstract checks.

• This is an important leadership role. We ask that you dedicate at minimum a half day to one day weekly, although we can accommodate those able to give a few days a month or during times of the year (i.e. summer months, winter months).

• Your schedule will be provided three (2) days ahead of time and will depend on busy days/periods, your preferences and client demand. If you’re not getting as many rides as you’re available to take, we ask you to contact your Transportation Coordinator to discuss changing your availability.

• You are agreeing to initiate and respond with regular, consistent communication between the Transportation Coordinator, clients you are scheduled to drive and other partners including other Wheels of Hope drivers.

• As a volunteer, you are a representative and ambassador who promotes the mission and value of the organization.

Previous experience preferred, but we will provide training. We offer $20/h as a starting wage ($22/h for experienced cleaners), pay raise after a training period and great balance between work life and your own personal free time to enjoy Tofino.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule:

• 4 days a week [approx. 30 hours] must be available for weekend
• Shifts split between both Ucluelet and Tofino stores

Attend to basic maintenance issues of resort, complete daily tasks, basic troubleshooting and upkeep of guest suites, common spaces, and exterior property.

Mackenzie Beach Resort is looking for people to join our Maintenance team for the winter season (or longer!) Reporting to     the Maintenance Manager, you will be insuring the comfort and safety of guest by dealing with issues in a timely and professional manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain the cleanliness of the outdoor areas at the resort performing tasks such as sweeping, leaf blowing, emptying garbages and recycling, cleaning the barbecues, picking up garbage around the property, etc.
• Maintain the gardens performing activities such as mowing lawns, picking up debris, raking, weeding, trimming bushes, watering plants, aerating gardens, etc.
• Some experience is preferred but not necessary, when performing basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs that do not require a trades ticket.
• Performing a variety of activities in the cabins such as drywall repairs, painting, wood repairs and hardware replacements.
• Have some experience and be familiar with tools and power tools.
• Be responsible and able to follow all safety protocols of the resort.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects assigned.                     

• Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting;
• Manage monthly and annual financial statements and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles;
• Oversee accounts and cash flow, administer internal audits, and cooperate with external auditors;
• Prepare quarterly progress reports;
• Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts;

• Ensure that the human resource department operates in line with standards and regulations, training and communicating with vendors and consultants as required;
• Attend Board of Director meetings and other committee meetings as required;
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA);
• Overtime or travel may occasionally be required;
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

• Greet guests with a smile and answer their questions as required.
