Due to an expansion of our operations and the work requirements of a busy spring and summer period, we are looking for temporary assistance in our accounting department in Port Alberni and Bamfield.  The Accounts Clerk reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services.  This includes processing and monitoring payments, invoices and expenditures and preparing and monitoring the payroll system.  Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that the HFN Group of Businesses finances are accurate and up to date, that staff are paid in a timely, accurate, and appropriate manner and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.  The HFN Group of Businesses are a well-diversified mix of hospitality, forestry, retail, fishing and other businesses.  This position will be up for review in the 6 month period to determine if it will become full time.
