Sushi Alberni Japanese Restaurant is looking for 1 Cook with more than 3 years of commercial cooking experience. "Japanese Sushi Cooking" experience would be an asset but not an essential requirement for this position. This is a full-time position and as such you may be required to work late evening and weekend shifts.
The successful applicant should be friendly, outgoing, helpful and will be required to perform the following duties.
• Prepare and Cook Japanese dishes (including hot dishes)
• Create seasonal, cost-effective menu and specials of the day
• Check the quality of raw and cooked products
• Create and develop an appealing presentation and new recipe of sushi rolls and hot foods.
• Make sushi rice perfectly with our sushi manual or skills
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Ensure operation level of profitability and client satisfaction
• Clean work area
• Perform related work as required
The ability to speak Korean is an asset but not mandatory as the owner's primary language is Korean.
